This page is maintained by Sufia Zamir, who hails from Karachi, Pakistan.
I spend my days working as a concept developer-cum-project manager at a marketing communication firm, managing a small team of designers and developers who work with me to develop and then implement concepts for clients and then whose work I derive great pleasure in ripping apart until I am completely satisfied with it. I also moonlight as an Urdu translator for a company based in Egypt, working out of my home in Karachi over the Internet.
The rest of the day I spend indulging my interests – and these are numerous. They range from weight training and swimming to reading books, watching TV, spending time with my pets (a cat and two dogs), surfing random websites on the Internet, spending time on Facebook, Youtube, mylifeisdesi.com, FML, Cricinfo and my personal favourite, Cracked.com – and writing up here. I have a lot to say, about a lot of things, and my blog is where I let off steam.

Hey Sufiaz,
It is interesting that you think to let off steam on the blog. I, rarely, think to let off steam on the blog.
I do like to pontificate, now and then, but letting off steam, for me, belongs in my diary!
I have plenty of opinions, but most of them are worthless, so I write about things that will entertain, more than inform…I hope!
You have a nice clean look to your pages!
Ciao, Charlie
Question; Native tongue of Karachi…? Farsi?

No Sufiaz,
I am not a preacher. I ran my own company for the better part of 30 years, so I am just full of opinions. That’s all!
In your culture, when do the kids begin learning foreign languages? Can someone who speaks urdu, understand someone who speaks farsi? Any similarities? Maybe, like the “Romance Languages.”
Ciao! Charlie
